With depression weight and appetite for people can fluctuate. To every individual this experience would be different. Some individuals may have an elevated appetite and weight gain, while some do not feel hungry and lose weight. To indication whether dietary changes have to do with depression is to understand whether or not they are intentional. If they aren’t, that might mean they are affected by depression.

Suicidal thoughts

Depression is sometimes connected with suicide. The feeling of meaninglessness, helplessness and many other factors caused by depression may trigger the urge of self-harm or even suicide.
